The Intersection Festival is a new program that will give your students the opportunity to perform short plays by emerging, Australian playwrights. A creative reimagining of our popular Voices Project and Intersection productions , this program will provide you with10 short plays; you and your students simply choose your favourites to rehearse and perform.

The Festival Process:

Step 1: ATYP will send your school a collection of ten [7 minute] plays written by Australia’s finest emerging writers with a range of scripts for 2-7 or more young actors.

Step 2: Your class selects up to ten pieces that they would like to rehearse and present in their classroom or theatre.

Step 3: Schools film and upload the performances to the online platform FilmFreeway.

Step 4: The ATYP team selects ten works to be showcased at the national Intersection Festival in The Rebel Theatre, Pier 2/3.
