ATOMS
How does art inspire technology, and how does technology inspire art?
Our short film ATOMS addresses what it means to live in a community and to make art in a world where technology is blurring our vision.
We wanted to create a fusion between fiction and documentary, by telling the story through the lens of our main fictional character: Jolie. However, all interactions she has during the film are with real artists. This is how we blurred the line between reality and imagination.
By keeping the script to a minimum, we portrayed raw conversations with several artists, giving them the chance to explore their perspectives on creativity and technology.
Jolie walks us through her journey of discovery of the modern world. In a way, we can all identify with her feelings of being lost and overwhelmed in a fast-paced world. It is through art that she finds answers to her questions and her belonging. In a time where technology is growing faster than reality, art allows her to pause and contemplate her surroundings.
