Director Statement

In each of us lies a hero, it's time to awaken the Atoman within you! With immense joy, I present to you the result of several years of work and reflection. "Atoman" is a heroic fiction that tells the story of an ordinary man who became extraordinary.

Since my early age, I have always been passionate about Marvel, DC-Comics, and Mangas, but I didn't truly identify with them as these heroes didn't resemble me. Being passionate about drawing, I started creating and drawing Arab superheroes like Super Batal when I was just 8 years old. I had fun with these creations, and my friends and surroundings were proud to have superheroes that represented them.

Although I was born and raised in Belgium, my parents always opened a window to our history and cultural heritage. This led me to develop an interest in what defines us and our identity. Big characters like Tarik Ibnou Zyad and others fascinated me. Thus, later on, I successfully created series that told my story, one that resonated with me. I made a fictional series about Tarik Ibnou Zyad, which became a great success, as well as other characters and historical events, such as the Marche Verte, which I portrayed in a fictional series. I also revisited the 1001 Nights, incorporating Moroccan culture, and created other science-fiction series where my vision of Arab identity and Moroccan culture was present.

Thanks to the experience gained from these beautiful productions, I finally had the opportunity to work on my first Arab superhero Character, "SUPER BATAL," which, after years of writing and reflection, is now known as ATOMAN, the first Arab superhero with the mission to save the planet. Currently, I'm developing A-COMICS (Arabes&African Comics), where several characters with powers and representative identities of our culture exist. My next character is a superheroine named "El Kahyna," who will take on the role of preserving the balance of the planet.
