ARTISTS RISE UP LOS ANGELES is a group of over 200 artists who are committed to positive and revolutionary change in response to the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Using our unique and diverse artistic voices, ARULA creates original theatre and art, and donates all event proceeds to charitable organizations dedicated to bringing social justice to the world.
The first annual ARULA Short Film Festival will showcase the best politically-themed short films from around the world. ARULA brings political activism to the stage, to the street, and now…to the screen.
ARULA is currently seeking short narrative and documentary films that explore political and/or social issues.
ARULA Short Film Festival will have its Los Angeles premiere on November 08, 2017. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Planned Parenthood Our jury members include writers, directors, producers, and studio executives.
We hope you will RISE UP with us by bringing your story to the screen!
