ARTISTS RISE UP LOS ANGELES is a group of over 200 artists who are committed to positive and evolutionary change. Using our unique and diverse voices, ARULA creates original theatre and art, and donates all event proceeds to charitable organizations dedicated to bringing social justice to our community.

The second annual ARULA Short Film Festival will showcase the best politically-themed short films from around the world. ARULA brings political activism to the stage, to the street, and now…to the screen.

ARULA is currently seeking short narrative and documentary films that explore political and/or social issues.

ARULA Short Film Festival will have its Los Angeles screening on November 09, 2019. All proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity. Our jury members include writers, directors, producers, and studio executives.

We hope you will RISE UP with us by bringing your story to the screen!

This event is not a competition but rather a platform for passionate voices to be heard. There will be a moderated Q and A following the screening and additionally, all films will be given the opportunity to showcase their films on the ARULA website.
