AR Magician is an Instagram filter created by Byten21 using Spark AR, showcasing their most popular and innovative project to date.

The creator - Mikolaj Tobjasz incorporated a 3D scan of his own face into the AR art, and used a Rokoko mocap suit to capture the character's movements, resulting in a dynamic and interactive experience for users.

Overall, the project celebrates Byten21's creative journey in the world of Spark AR, bringing their work to life through the immersive technology of augmented reality.

Director Biography

Mikołaj Tobjasz is the founder and AR Creator of Byten21 - an innovative AR production studio that guides leading brands to the metaverse.

From the very beginning, his carrier was focused on the film sector. His influence on the Polish film industry was awarded by Cannes Film Festival in 2018. From 2020 he leads an international studio that continues to break the boundaries of the regular video format, producing immersive AR experiences on social media for companies such as Amazon, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Netflix, and BBC.

Mikołaj has a wealth of knowledge about emerging tech. He regularly shares his unique insights as a keynote speaker and a panelist.

Director Statement

I wanted to showcase our experimental work in a unique and captivating way, while also highlighting the potential of our virtual avatars through 3D scanning and motion capture. This inspired us to create the "AR Magician", an immersive project that promotes the release of our studio. Through this project, we aim to push the boundaries of technology and creativity, and demonstrate the endless possibilities of virtual experiences.
