ABIGAIL 'A.R.' LUIS is a Portuguese-American film producer and artist. Born into a small town in rural Connecticut, her passion and care for community grew alongside her. Since then, Luis has gone forward to direct film projects for small businesses, create community murals, and engage with the local zine scene. Her multidisciplinary nature in the arts have landed her multiple acknowledgments, ranging from the Jesse Feigelman Award for Narrative Film, to The Connecticut Association of Schools Artistic Achievement Award. As a graduate of the Purchase College Film Conservatory, she found her proficiency in screenwriting, producing, and assistant directorial work. Luis' artistic works tend to explore themes of womanhood, social class, and mental health through an alternative lens.
