THE STATUS OF ARAB WOMEN
The status of women in the Arab world has not been different from that of other parts of the world. Throughout history, Arab woman have faced discrimination, resulting in restrictions on their rights and freedoms. Some of these restrictions are based on religious beliefs, but many of these restrictions are due to culture and stem from traditions rather than religious beliefs. Arab woman like other woman around the world, suffered in the past under the oppression of men but subsequently succeeded in making huge impact in the following areas:

IN THE FIELD OF POETRY AND LITERATURE
Arab women were famous in poetry and literature in the past and during the present including the best known 7th century Arab female poet Al-Khansa, also the Palestinian - Lebanese poet essayist and translator Mai Ziadeh, the contemporary Iraqi female poet Nazik Al-Malaika who was the first Arab poet to use free verse and many other influential Arab women.

IN THE FIELD OF ART AND MUSIC
when we talk about famous Arab singers, it's worth mentioning the Egyptian singer also known as the planet of the East - Umm Kulthum, another unforgettable Egyptian singer is Asmahan. In the Arab world, famous actresses in the television and film industry have made their mark on Arabic drama an example as such are Fatima Rushdie, Faten Hamama, Muna Wassef, Hayat Al-Fahad and many others.

IN THE FIELD OF DIRECTING
In recent years, there have been a number of Arab women who have made their mark in the field of directing and film production, and even in literature, for example Nadine Labaki, director of an Oscar nominated film which has premiered worldwide. The first Arab Women Film Festival in Europe will reflect the culture, talents, history and successes of Arab women through cinema and film industry. In the Arab world, famous actresses in the television and film industry have made their mark on Arabic drama an example as such are Fatima Rushdie, Faten Hamama, Muna Wassef, Hayat Al-Fahad and many others.

OBJECTIVE
Portraying a clear image of the life, history, customs, traditions and successes of Arab women and highlighting the positive and negative aspects of their lives in the Arab world.
