'The journey to the light.' Visiting churches, monasteries and villages throughout France in search of the works of Father Kim En-joong (82 years old), a Dominican priest and world-famous stained glass artist. Through the works of the priest who devoted all his life to God and art, the encounter between God and men, holiness and simplicity, and art and life unfolds in a feast of brilliant colors and light.

Director Statement

"If an angel paints a picture, it will be like his picture." - Wendy Beckett (1930-2018), the late art critic. Father Kim En-joong (82 years old) is a french Dominican priest and world-famous stained glass artist. The works of Father Kim En-joong, which grafted the lines of oriental painting with the techniques of Western abstract painting, have been installed in 38 countries around the world, including Chartres Cathedral in France, the home of stained glass. Documentary team visited churches, monasteries and villages all over France in search of the works of Father Kim En-joong. Through the works of a priest who devoted his whole life to God and art, the encounter between God and man, holiness and simplicity, and art and life unfolds in a feast of brilliant colors and light.
