Steve Wood studied film at The University of Michigan. His thesis work focused on the short-form, experimental work that had originally drawn him to the medium: commercials, music videos, animation and video games.
Working in commercial post-production for over 20 years since then, including time in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, he has concurrently made short films which have been screened and broadcast both locally and internationally. Venues have included The London SciFi Film Festival, Cinequest, The Montreal Underground Film Festival, and USA Cable Networks.
Steve is currently working as a compositor, colorist, and voice-over artist in Chicago, while continuing to experiment with moving images.
Moving forward is a constant struggle, and it happens one step at a time.
