I, Anurag Mitra, (certificate name - Satrajit Mitra) at present, am working chiefly in the field of making short film and musical compositions. Tbat apart, I am also carrying out a research under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, on Tagore's songs.
I was an ardent follower of noted Rabindrasangeet exponent late Pijushkanti Sarkar. I started my career as a musician in 2002, just after completing my M.A. in english literature from Calcutta University. From 2007 onwards, I started to work as script writer/assistant director in telefilms, mega serial, corporate films etc. It was my fortune that in my first tele film, I got the most coveted scope to work with legends like Soumitra Chatterjee and Sabitri Chatterjee. I also worked in so many projects as assistant director in audio visusl media. I also, got experience to work as script writer in a lot of awareness films for noted NGOs.
Music, film and literature have always been the driving forces in my life.
