A Miners Canary
EDINE MACKAY grows up in a Scottish village struggling with her difficult childhood. When the village is subjected to mining by an investor, survival becomes even more difficult for her. An unexpected opportunity offers her the chance to escape her fate by studying opera in Italy. When she returns to the village, it turns out that during the years she lived there she was not as alone as she thought, and that she has real friends who will not abandon her to her fate.
