AMEKANOS (inept)

The drama of Giasone, the first anti-hero of Hellenistic mythology.
Sense of inadequacy and impotence, inability to act, mixed with the unpredictable power of fate, bitter friend and essential enemy of humanity.
Giasone undertakes a lifelong ghost expedition to recover the Golden Fleece. Useless expedition, concocted with deception, to usurp a throne from Giasone, which, after all, he doesn't even want.
Giasone is passive, a warrior without heroic abilities, torn between a sense of duty and inner impotence, vulnerable as shown in an intimate conversation with the leader of his ship, Tifi.
"Now I succumb to a supreme anguish, to intolerable troubles, and I hate to sail the icy ways of the sea, but also to touch the land, because everywhere there are hostile men"- says a man, eternally defeated by wars he does not want to fight.
