A documentary of Asian Marching Boys and Friends. An LGBTIQ+ Asian group that has been marching in Sydney Mardi Gras over 15 years. Being LGBTIQ+ and Asian in Australia is not easy. Fear, bullying, and Racism have made them prefer a chosen family, where they feel belong. Mardi Gras Festival has helped them to have the place to raise and roar their voice louder, to promote the visibility and acceptance of LGBTIQ+ Asian people in Australia. This documentary depicts perspective interviews of the community leaders and group members revealing how they created a very strong group and outstanding parades until became well-known nowadays and are always presented on the TV news and media every single year.

Director Biography - Boyd Pakcharoen

Boyd is a filmmaker based in Sydney, Australia. He was a film student and passionate about telling stories. He worked on short films and documentaries such as Chasing Flowers, Hookup Cafe, Virgin AI and the documentary of International Students' Life during COVID-19 in Australia.
