Experiencing Interruptions?

A Lie in Paradise

Domestic abuse against Black women is often associated with men’s obsession with fetishizing their bodies. The same reasons they are attracted to Black women are the same reasons they use and abuse them. The short film showcases this idea with a few shots and a multilayered soundscape accompanied by a voiceover. The aspect of using few to express more is one explored in this film to represent how Black women continue to be domestic abuse victims over characteristics they cannot control.
