Ranim Abdel Khalek is a film director and screenwriter, who graduated from the Lebanese University - Faculty of Fine Arts with a BA in Cinema and TV. Her passion in capturing spontaneous and vulnerable moments pushed her into falling in love with the art of visual storytelling. Ranim participated in LOYAC's Film Camp 2020, where she wrote and directed her first short film "Red Threads". She then wrote, directed, and produced her senior short film "Al Na'awa". After graduating, she joined LOYAC Lebanon's production department where she coordinated their Film Camp program, and produced video reports for their social media. Ranim also works on local shoots in the directing department, and freelances in photography, videography, editing and social media content creation. She aspires to continue growing as a filmmaker and to continue telling stories collected from her life and surroundings.
