James has over a decade of filmmaking experience that includes documentaries, animation and narrative shorts. His fictional short films include ‘Stories from Bibatama’ (2014), a drama about child labour which was shortlisted in the UnChosen film competition and thriller ‘Jasmine’ (2015). In 2018, James
directed short film ‘Rock. Paper. Scissors.’, which will be included in apocalyptic feature film ‘The Impact’. Most recently he directed short drama 'The Last Kick', which is currently in post-production. James says " it was a pleasure to work on 'A Letter to mum' it's such a heartfelt and tender story"
