Director Biography - Tristan Schaeffer

Tristan Schafer is an internationally award-winning filmmaker and videographer as well as the CEO and Founder of Old Soul Films.

Old Soul Films is in turn an award winning South African film and video production company specializing in bespoke branded content and holistic video campaign creation. The company has also created content both locally and internationally in the areas of Short Film, Documentary, Virtual Reality 360 Video, and Television Series.

Tristan is formally an internationally qualified screenwriter and director having finished his studies in Los Angeles. He has now turned into more of a producer and creative concept director.

He has achieved many notable accolades since founding the company 5 years ago with highlights being a keynote speaker at Lagos Comic Con on VR in Africa, being selected for the Looking China Youth Film Project where he subsequently won a Golden Lens award for Best Film and creating video content campaigns for brands such as Adidas, Netflix and Diageo but to name a few.

Old Soul Films is poised to shake up the video production industry by focusing on embracing multi-skilled filmmakers and content creators with cinematic skill sets as opposed to traditional production crews. The company is also focused on new media development such as virtual reality and experiential content creation in which they are already operating on a global level.
