A Hero’s Best Friend is a tale of friendship, family, retirement, responsibility, strength, temptation, and the trials of being a dog owner. In this 2D animated short film, an elderly superhero goes off to work, and his dog is left in charge of the household: including all the tasty food inside.

Director Biography

Tami Poliwoda is an artist, illustrator, and animator. Her work has been screened at TAIS Annual Showcase, LoopdeLoop, VPL Early Harvest, and the United Nations Youth Day. Her practise explores colour, movement, and life. She frequently makes use of compelling, diverse, not necessarily human, character designs which an audience can relate to. Tami Poliwoda is a graduate from OCAD University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts, and a focus on Digital Painting and Expanded Animation.
