A Flower Dreams
Troubled by her dreadful thoughts, Sandra travels through dreamlike vignettes where she comes face to face with her anxieties. During these episodes, she undergoes numerous emotions that are both healing and traumatic. Although she is convinced no remedy exists. She desperately hopes a glimmer of light will cleanse the darkness she feels inside.

Robert Asencio is a proud artist from New Jersey with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre from Kean University. The greatest lesson acting has taught him is the importance of self reflecting on one’s own experiences in order to bring characters to life on stage with truthfulness and empathy. Robert is also a dedicated musician (Bass player), visual artist, and filmmaker. He’s played and performed with an array of Heavy metal bands in the Tri-State area and has honed his skills over the years at his beloved Hellhound Studios in Rahway, NJ. As a visual artist, Robert credits Jean Michel Basquiat as his greatest inspiration. He has showcased his art work at the James Howe Gallery (Kean University), Newark School of the Arts, and Atelier Rosal (Rahway, N.J). Robert‘s love for films has inspired him to write screenplays and explore the technical aspects in film. His most recent film KNIGHT has received numerous Film Festival Selections which include the Garden State Film Festival (NJ), Queen City Film Festival (NJ), and Independent Shorts Awards (LA), where his film won an Honorable Mention Award for Best Drama Short. His continued study of directing, cinematography, writing, editing, lighting, music, visual arts, and acting. Has fed his artistic life with an everlasting joy that he is very grateful to have found. Ultimately, he believes that all artists must strive to build a deep personal relationship with their art forms.
A Flower Dreams was inspired by many bouts of existential thoughts. That would eventually manifest themselves in my dreams. These dreams went on to gift me with a greater understanding of the many questions I pondered on daily. Questions that always revolved around our relation to the light and darkness within us. And where we fit in that relationship. My wish for this film is to express that we all as human beings go through a time of crisis. These moments should not necessarily be perceived as a negative. But as window to our inner workings that will allow us to understand ourselves better and find some peace along the way.
