Director Statement

This docu-series is a personal journey as much as it an outwards exploration.
When asked what I wanted to do when I grew up, my answer was always one and the same: I want to express myself.
As a trilingual and dual-nationality filmmaker, specification was never my strongpoint. My vast interests made me dabble in every art form I could get a grasp on: sound design, drawing, writing, acting, filming, producing music, theatre.
I spent my entire adult life venturing. I travelled across 4 continents, dozens of countries, experiencing countless cities, sights, tastes, faunas and floras.
I rode buses, flew, hiked, drove, tracked, and scuba dived my way to every corner I could reach, only to realize the most valuable insight into my own progress was sharing these experiences with like minded people. My biggest inspiration to grow was meeting fellow creatives.
I want to give the audience the same opportunity, the chance to witness struggles they may never explicitly know but can relate to emotionally, because we’ve all felt the same way on our paths to accomplishment. Whatever you do, whoever you are, you have known the pains and glory of trying to express yourself and make something meaningful.
