The Interview
A journalist, in an effort to gather information to complete the biography of a missionary priest who traveled through Africa, visits the village and the old abandoned house where he lived and died. Once inside, he realizes that not even his skepticism will free him from the forces that linger there. A journey that will test his disbelief in what the eyes cannot reach.

António Paula, born in the city of Porto on the 5th of November 1978, from an early age demonstrated his orientation towards the arts. In 2004 he finished his degree in Architecture, in Porto. Ten years later, and after working in the area, he abandoned this profession. Since then, he has dedicated himself to his old passion: cinema. Self-taught and passionate about the area, he has invested in his theoretical and technical training, seeking excellence in all the projects he embraces. Soon, the quality of his work and the irreverence in the way he sees cinema allowed him to make several music videos for Portuguese musicians, three of which were for the renowned Sony Music Portugal publisher.
With the intention of broadening his knowledge and embracing new challenges, in 2017 he integrates the degree in Sound and Image at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
In 2019, his first work of fiction still in the academic field, "Raízes", is selected for the International Fantastic Film Festival of Porto - FANTASPORTO, in the competition of film schools and universities.
In 2021, his second short film, "A Entrevista" is selected for several festivals such as "San Francisco Indie Short Film Festival", "Entre Olhares - Portuguese film festival", "Monsters of Horror - International Film Festival" and "Independent Shorts Awards Los Angeles", having won two awards: first prize for "Best Student Director" and the second prize for "Best Horror Short Film".
Based on a true story, the movie is about believing in something that is not visible. The opening of a skeptical and non-believing person's mind through metaphors resorting to myths and traditions of Portuguese popular culture.
