Director Biography - Hank Slaughter

A native Texan and a 21-year Army veteran, Hank is making his directorial debut with “A Deadly Charter.” Hank started his cinematic journey as a stuntman in 1988, working in film and television on “Born on the Fourth of July”, “Problem Child”, and “Walker: Texas Ranger” among others. He left show business and returned to active duty in 1997, retiring in 2015. In 2018, he was asked to serve as a technical advisor on the film “My Stretch of Texas Ground” and during his time on this set was once again bitten by the movie bug. Having recently worked on a number of films, Hank decided to try his hand at producing and directing. He turned to this original screenplay he wrote in 1991 while a film student at the University of North Texas. Today Hank continues to work in front of the camera and can be seen in the upcoming films “V.F.W.” and “Hooking Up” and recently served as the stunt coordinator on “Red Stone" with Neal McDonough and "Corsicana" starring and directed by Isaiah Washington.
