A Day in Acadia
A Day in Acadia was filmed across two days in Acadia National Park, the first day of filming was focused on the main district of Acadia national park while the second focused on the Schoodic district. The video was filmed on my Samsung Galaxy s10e on my DJO Osmo Mobile two. all the filming was done in the Filmic Pro app to be able to have manual control over the camera. I shot in 30 frames per second 4K HDR (3840 X 2032). The video was then edited in premiere pro with many of the shots going through After Effects for VFX. In this video, there were a lot of sky replacements, fake focus pulls and lots of removing objects or people from the shot. Of course, I used After Effects for this. For sky replacements, I tried to use the luma keyer but in some shots such as the first one, that was not an option as the sky was the same color as the subject. To complete that shot I was forced to use Mocha and began the tedious process of either rotoscoping or creating and tracking a mask. Instantly I tried rotoscoping but After Effects had other ideas so I was forced to make a mask.
The audio was edited in Audition.
