My name is Robin Roedel, I am 25 years old, born on November 2, 1998, in Mannheim. Growing up amidst a group of four younger brothers and divorced parents, I now reside in Dortmund with my partner.
My journey as a director began 14 years ago when I demonstrated the impressive narrative possibilities achievable with a small iPod touch camera and iMovie. Winning a film award at a short film festival in Heidelberg motivated me to continue my pursuit.
By directing two theatrical plays and producing a music video, I deepened my skills as a director, cameraman, and editor. In 2018, I took on the responsibility of marketing and image maintenance for a transportation network, developing a cinema campaign that ran for two months.
Following an intensive period at an advertising production company from 2018 to 2019, I embarked on a four-year study to become a film director in the fall, successfully completing it with a diploma in September 2023.
Addressing socially relevant themes and executing controversial works are my strengths. My first major film production, "FACADE," in 2021 touched many hearts, revealing the lies and deceptions behind a seemingly perfect family. The short film explores the themes of fakeness, hypocrisy, individual burdens, and homosexuality.
My most significant film project to date, reflecting my artistic vision and professionalism, is the film "ADRIANNA." This societal drama tackles issues such as bourgeois emancipation, traumatic experiences, envy, and jealousy. The film aims not only to entertain but also to initiate discussions on pressing questions. With this project, I hope to help those affected.
Aesthetic brilliance and a focus on production value characterize my works. My pursuit of perfection and the desire to tell meaningful stories with depth make me a versatile film director in the film and advertising industry. Eager for new challenges, I look forward to contributing my creative abilities and handling performance pressure and stress with confidence.
"In the film and advertising industry, my aspiration extends beyond narrating stories that penetrate deep into the souls of viewers; I endeavor to craft experiences that resonate equally profoundly."
