Director Statement

“Самородок – A Craftsman’s Journey” is my first independent short documentary inspired by my artistic father.
The film will give the audience a chance to dive into the world of fine craftsmanship Raymond practiced for the last 60 years. The visual images – pieces of jewelry, tools, working space – will draw the audience to the screens. Raymond’s story, accompanied by visuals of his work, shows the uniqueness and beauty of our diverse creative community of artists in Windsor.
