Director Statement

Despite the fact that our film's protagonist is a con man, "A Certain Kind of Man" has much less to do with crime than it does with family relationships. I wanted the core of my story to be about two people falling out of love, dishonesty in a marriage, the horizon of divorce, and the longterm effects those factors will ultimately have on a 5-year-old child's life.

My intentions, both when writing and directing this film, were to disguise those family themes inside a much more exciting crime/thriller format.

I hope that our short film is able to take viewers on a thrilling rollercoaster of suspense and that those family relationship themes resonate with audiences as well.
