Director Biography - Jordan Carlson, Ryan Knapper

Jordan and Ryan (not pictured but still very present) have been working together since their theater days as undergraduates at Miami University.

Their screenplays have placed in multiple festivals and the documentary, Life Lakota, about the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota, created in partnership with Vativ Media was the Grand Jury's Short Documentary WINNER at the Over-The-Rhine International Film Festival.

They love to delve into the stories of those who take the un-traveled path both fictional and non-fictional.

Director Statement

Canopy is a timeless story about choice, mistakes, and bridging the generational gap. Coming from two vastly different generational backgrounds and experiences, two women with seemingly nothing in common meet under the haven of the canopy and learn that they aren't in fact as different as they thought.
