I’ve amassed several skills and titles over the years personally and professionally. I’ve packed up all of those into one identity
Visual Artist.
A strong purveyor of aesthetics, my works take on the role of narration as well. Creating bodies of work that go along a story usually within itself or for a larger construct that I’m ever building. I explore a minimal approach with calculated production and intensive design. Utilizing subjects in various mediums for viewers to align it as an experience. One through simple and direct imagery.
My years of experience in production and post-production, have branched me into working across many industries including advertising, branding, marketing, and entertainment. My role at times exceeded more than my job title for particular projects, taking on the role of art and creative direction. Utilizing my photography skills, I quickly took on filmmaking and directing. From fashion films to music videos and more recently, commercial directing. Simultaneously, I’m active in the art community locally and abroad, to activate my exhibitions, events, and installations.
Embarking on this film parallels my own journey as an artist, embracing the emotional highs and lows that come with passionate pursuits. Rather than focusing on a simplistic narrative of overcoming adversity, I aim to explore the deeper complexities of the human psyche, where dreams manifest in abstract and surreal forms. This film is a pivotal chapter in a broader trilogy, unfolding a narrative that transcends expectations by centering on a profound connection between two individuals—this first installment placing her story at the forefront.
This film speaks not only to the artistic community but resonates with anyone who has faced universal struggles. I want audiences to connect with her journey, both externally and internally. Drawing inspiration from storytellers like Spike Lee, Quentin Tarantino, Donald Glover, and Jordan Peele—known for their distinctive blend of narrative and social commentary—my influences also reach back to the timeless epics of Greek mythology, particularly Homer’s *Iliad*. With this project, I seek to push beyond traditional genre boundaries.
I view this as a deeply personal endeavor. Filmmakers often scour the world for opportunities to tell their stories, a quest that unites us all in its universal significance. I strive to create films that are intricately layered, visually evocative, and, above all, timeless—films that leave a lasting impact on viewers, long after the credits roll.
