Director Statement

A Bittersweet Feeling is my favorite film that I’ve done. It’s a mediation on loneliness and how that can deeply affect a person. The two main characters, Jacob and Kate, have pushed everyone away and made the decision to be alone. That’s why when they first meet each other, there’s a sense of vulnerability. Friendship is uncharted territory, for them. Although, over the course of three days, the two loners develop a bond, that is both sincere and impactful. A Bittersweet Feeling is about the connection between two lost souls, who isolate themselves from others but truly long to be understood and accepted by those very people, whom they shut out.
