Jonah is a Wisconsin-raised former LA transplant with a passion for direction, sound design, cinematography and editing. His other philias include film, music, photography, the fine arts and fashion. In his free time, he enjoys running competitively, writing hip hop & spoken word and meeting people who are similarly passionate about expressing themselves through creative means. He is currently located in both Madison, WI and Minneapolis, MN, where rent is one-third of the cost that it was in North Hollywood.
Alexa, Henry, and I collaborated so that we could create a project that was as visually and sonically hard-hitting as any narrative short we had shot before, all the while introducing each of our respective identities (sexual, religious, artistic, and otherwise). "A Baptism" is based on a cultural discourse packed into fifty-five seconds of footage. This brevity creates a visceral environment where taboo, fear, lust, disgust, LGBTQA pride, hate speech, dogma, eroticism & religious allegories don't just cohabitate, but interact.
