ABORT

Expose:

Widowed Meryem Agios, 33 years old, who lives alone, abducts foreign children. She wins the children's trust and persuades them to come home with her. However, she kills the children after a short time and starts looking for new children again. It turns out that after the death of her husband, in order not to go on living alone, the woman undergoes artificial insemination twice. Both pregnancies, however, are terminated by miscarriages in the first few weeks. As a result of these successive strokes of fate, she fell into severe depression and suffered from severe psychoses and hallucinations.

Through the hallucinations she tries to create her own reality in which she is the mother of two children. Which consequently leads to imaginary child abductions. This illusion is in turn destroyed by blaming oneself for killing unborn children. She experiences a turbulent phase between delusion and loss of reality. She was persuaded by her good friend, who is also her gynecologist, to have a third fertilization, which leads to a successful pregnancy. Unaware that she is pregnant until a critical moment, Meryem is determined to take her own life. Her friend is her only salvation to make it clear that she is pregnant and can keep her from it.
