Abaris Tanzifi, an accomplished Iranian screenwriter, has contributed extensively to film and television over the past two decades. Known for blending compelling narratives with cultural depth he has written for a wide range of genres including drama, comedy, documentary, and children's programming.
In 2024,Abaris Tanzifi co-wrote the feature film “The Curse of Arta” alongside Majid Karimi. Earlier, in 2021, he led the writing team for the series “Magnifier” (Zarreh-Bin), aired on Channel 2, comprising 30 episodes.
A year prior, he penned the documentary film “Sleeping Civilization” (2019), directed by Majid Karimi, which was selected for the prestigious Sima Festival. In 2019, he was also part of the writing team for the political satire series “Balabashoo” on Channel 2.
Among his major works is the 52-episode comedy series “Hamsarayee”, written for Channel 3 and directed by Hossein Tabrizi, produced by Seyed Mohammad Reza Vakili Tabatabai. In 2018, he wrote for the hit youth competition show “Amadeh Bash”, directed by Saeed Daryadel and produced by Gholamreza Bakhtiari, which became one of Channel Omid’s most-watched programs.
Other cinematic contributions include the script for “The Final Shot” (2018), directed by Sadegh Sadegh Choubi, and the comedy feature “Mission Impossible” (2017), produced by Mahmoud Fallah and directed by Yaghoob Ghaffari.
In earlier years, he contributed to “Haft Seen o Bechin” (Nowruz Special, Channel 1, 2016) and led the writing team of “Javanmardan”, a high-profile animated series aired on Channels 2 and Omid (2015–2016), produced by Saba Center. he was also part of the writing team for the 52-episode comedy “Don’t Touch – It’s Dangerous” broadcast on Nasim TV in 2015.
He has written several acclaimed documentary scripts including “Naghejir Cave” and “The Journey of Stone”, both directed by Majid Karimi and aired on Channel 4, receiving honors at the Sima Festival.
In addition, he authored the 100-episode documentary series “Living Memories” for the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, and wrote for the children's video series “Changool & Mangool” (2011).
His earlier works include co-writing the feature screenplay “The End Two” with Amirhossein Akbari, directed by Yaghoob Ghaffari in 2011.
Beyond screenwriting, Abaris Tanzifi has been active in education and publishing. In 2016, he conducted a workshop at Soroush College on scriptwriting techniques and character development. He also published an article on screenwriting techniques for children in Golestan Magazine.
