In Medias Res

The short movie "In Medias Res"- (In the middle of the action) is about a group of idiosyncratic individuals, each one with a specific role and identity, busy with their daily activities, until they get the the message to meet through a chain of calls. In that moment, they interrupt everything in order to organize, meet with each other, and share some carefree and convivial moments.

This story is about the value of those simple pleasures we used to underestimate in a pre-pandemic world, and about the joy of making time for the ones we care about, appreciate and rediscover our newfound freedom.

In Medias Res-(In the middle of the action) is also the name of my (Linda Spallino) sustainable Upcycling brand (presented as final graduate project) and this collection, as well as the filming style was inspired by Wes Anderson's cinematic Universe.
Every outfit was created by deconstructing and rebuilding already existing garments, draped one by one by using the patchwork technique and by applying a quirky aesthetic.
