We, Sandeep & Raghav, are filmmakers based in the Netherlands. We both share a common passion for visual storytelling. We decided to learn the art of filmmaking by just diving in and doing it. As such, we are proud to call ourselves self-taught filmmakers. You don’t need a fancy camera, an extremely talented crew, or a high production budget to make a film; all you need is a solid story, a camera, and a lot of faith in yourself.

We endeavoured to pioneer a unique style of visual storytelling. And so, around the end of 2021, we created a YouTube channel, ‘The Dutchman Films’, where we began experimenting with short films. We own a Panasonic G85 camera, and that’s the one we still use to this day. We did, however, upgrade our filmmaking gear - especially the lens, gimbal unit, and other post-production tools. Thanks to our engineering background, we were able to build DIY rigs from everyday items. I, Raghav, joined a local theatre club, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions in our journey into filmmaking. In the theatre, we found our core team. Our love for cinema resonated and attracted more like-minded souls to expand and enrich our two-man squad. They believed in us and our scripts and were eager to fly with us on this journey.

Today we are a team of passionate filmmakers, versatile actors, writers, video editors, film festival lovers, a composer, and a sound designer, who tirelessly deliver excellence. Most of us are engineers by profession, but we also have ecologists, communication specialists, copywriters, and teachers; everyone has a full-time job unrelated to the cinema. We have only the weekends to schedule, rehearse, film and work on the pre/post-production of our project. Nevertheless, we are a dedicated team that believes in telling a story in the best possible way.

We have plenty of potential blockbuster scripts ready to roll into production. Our primary goal is to attract funding/investors to bring to life those stories lying in our desk drawers.
