Wen Raich Wen

Walls: Bitumen, naked stone, plaster. Maybe some barbed wire. Already enough to divide landscapes. And cultures. It is the epitome for separation, insurability and isolation. The wall is one of the oldest defence mechanisms and yet has always been used offensively, too. A wound laying open in the country, accelerating the construction of walls within our minds and hearts. Accelerating also the construction of houses and settlements. Mutilating the earth.

where are you leaving to? where?
what happened to the promise? what?
my eyes cry over you night and day.
I thought you would remain mine.
all hope is lost
you betrayed me.
where are you going? where?
what happened to the promise? where?
my eyes cry over you night and day,
I thought you would remain mine.
