Ethan Paisley is an American actor, filmmaker, YouTube Personality, and entrepreneur. Only 16 years in age, the young artist has made his mark in the independent film industry, rousing critical praise for his work as both an actor and film producer in a selection of festival-winning films, viral YouTube videos, and the reputation of his emerging production company, Take18 Entertainment.
Paisley stepped into the acting business at age six, and kept busy with local theater roles ranging from Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors to Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. A theatre veteran by age 12 with over 25 plays on his resume, his experience scored him roles in several independent films, most recently Boo Men and Veronica, as well as a deal with the prestigious MDT Agency. His on-camera work led him to another passion behind the camera, and prompted the creation of a YouTube channel in 2013. The channel grossed over 800,000 views across 30 videos in less than a year , and allowed Paisley to reckon a talent he had for producing. Combining acting experience with that in digital storytelling, at age 14, the artist embarked on the production of an 80 page feature film, The Art of Escape. The film was screened internationally and received 10 festival nominations plus three wins, inspiring Paisley to form his own production company, Take18 Entertainment.
Paisley launched Take18 Entertainment in early 2016, advertising it as a video production service company for his community as well as a narrative filmmaking collaborative for local teens. In the past year, the company has been responsible for the creation of over 15 short films, a new SAG feature film, and a commercial made for the SpikeTV Network. Nearing the end of 2016, Ethan Paisley released short film, Playing The Game, which attracted the attention of various producers at Prettybird Productions, IFC, and Netflix who plan on manifesting the short into a feature made for international distribution. The emerging actor-producer has mentored and worked with some of Hollywood's biggest names, such as actor, James Franco, and writer, Tyger Williams on set of several productions in which he has either acted in or produced. He plans on attending college in 2018 & moving his business enterprise to Los Angeles directly after.
