Lloyd Frost is an award winning Canadian filmmaker, singer/songwriter, writer and photographer. Social commentary with a groove is a recurring theme in his work.
His short films are musical-docs, merging the genres of documentary film and musical. Topics include free speech and human rights in the Castros' Cuba, to how we talk about armed conflict and terrorism killings.
Frost's album 'The Sun Is Rising & Other True Stories' with film soundtracks was released with a filmed performance at SAW Gallery, Ottawa and a concurrent exhibit of film-related images at Vistek. His writings and photographs from Cuba, Burma, China and other lands have appeared in newspapers in Canada, the U.S., and Australia.
