Entries are now opened for the inaugural 94.7thePulse Short Film Festival. We invite Residents of Geelong the Surf Coast and Bellarine in Victoria Australia to explore the theme and capture your own reflections of culture in a 1-3min film or clip.

What does cultural identity mean?
If culture includes one’s native language, customs, beliefs and community, then my culture is ?
Complete the entry form and submit your final clip by midnight on the 15th December 2017.
What will it cost me?
The entry fee is $10 per short film.
How can I learn some basic film making skills to create my film?
94.7thePulse will be offering the following workshops for $10pp, all workshop participants that enter a film will have the entry fee waivered.
Script Writing and Story Boarding facilitated by Christine Davey Basic film making and editing presented by Marc Salazar.
When will the winning films be screened?
The official screening will be on Thursday 15th February 2018 in Geelong West Memorial Park on the corner of Pakington and Autumn Streets.
The twilight screening will also include the Pako Festa Launch, all winners will be announced and we will open up the Geelong Advertiser’s Peoples Choice Award from the 15th Feb-24th Feb allowing the broader community to vote online with the winning peoples choice award to be announcing on Pako Festa Day.
Please note all the top 20 films will be screened at the event throughout the day.
Awards & Prizes
1. Youth Award under age 18 – Geelong Connected Communities Award
2. Emerging film Maker Award - Pivitonian Award
3. My First Ever Film Making Experience
4. Best Script - Geelong Regional Library Corporation Award
The winner in each category will win a $500 cash prize and the runner up will receive a film package valued at $200.
What is the Judging Process?
5 clips will be selected from each category for the screening with a winner and
runner up in each category awarded a prize.
The Judging Panel will be made up of representatives from Award Sponsors and invited guest (to be announced).
The entrants that best capture the theme in a unique and engaging way.......... What are the Prizes?

Reflection of Culture Film Festival does not claim any ownership rights to the content that you submit.
Reflection of Culture Film Festival has the right to include your film or video in its promotional activities. This may include, the creation of show reels and advertisements promoting the Reflection of Culture Film Festival, physical screenings, viral campaigns, presentations and product pitches.
The creator grants Pulse 94.7, Diversitat and Reflection of Culture Film Festival rights to: Exhibit the film during the Short Film Festival, on their associated media and at its related events, including the Pako Festa Launch and The Pivotonian.
Only the final 20 (twenty) films will be screened.
Entries and access to filmmaking workshops will not be considered valid until the entry fee has been paid.
