Michael D'Antuono spent the 1980s creating national advertising campaigns. He burst onto the national scene as an artist in 2009 with his controversial painting of President Obama wearing a crown of thorns titled, "The Truth." A true a voice for the voiceless, D'Antuono has been making art that challenges the status quo, inspires critical thinking, speaks truth to power in the service of to sparking social change.
In whatever medium I choose, my purpose is always to make art that informs and inspires social justice.
