sometimes I wish my life was a movie
A poem unfolds on the space of a computer desktop. Through a combination of music, text, and screen recordings, "sometimes I wish my life was a movie" explores what it means to position our experiences in relation to the media that we consume and create. Screen-space is abstracted as language moves between text documents, video editing software, and dissolving fields of color. The context in which words appear -- their typeface, size, movement, and location -- become as important as words themselves.
