My initial background was precision engineering and my writing career started spontaneously following a boring season of Xmas TV.
In 2005, I studied writing at the Irish Film Centre in Dublin, Ireland.
My first screenplay placed in the top 2% of an international competition [4,300 entries, 28 countries].
It went straight to Universal Studios and kept on file for a future production in that genre.
My action/disaster movie titled: “Silent Spring” and the drama script: “Change of Heart” caught the attention of the renowned script guru and author of “Save the Cat”, Blake Snyder. Blake personally recommended me to a well established agency in the UK
In 2008, I was recommended by a director and hired to write a movie script on the true life story of a US based female sports celebrity.
A second draft of the screenplay was given a “strong consider” and the consultant/agent from a top literacy agency in Los Angeles put it up on her website.
During 2010 – ’11… I completed an intensive course in screenwriting and was featured several times on the official website. I’m now a ProSeries Alumni screenwriter.
In 2012, one of my screenplays was passed around by other professionals in L.A. As a result, I was both referred and recommended to a top agency there. A busy agent read the script and decided to represent all my work. Two other clients within the same agency include Suzanne Collins, movie: “The Hunger Games” and Brian Selznick, movie: “Hugo. http://screenwritingu.com/success-stories/feb-6-2013-vincent-fahy-signs-la-agency

In July 2013, I became an Associate Producer for a production being shot in Ireland and the US.
In October 2014 I wrote a Roller Derby screenplay on spec.
In 2016 I wrote a full feature screenplay on the renowned iconic character Molly Malone. I also wrote two 'shorts' - a ten and eighteen page - on same.
In November 2016, the 10 page short script; MOLLY MALONE was a 'finalist' in the 10th. Waterford Film Festival.
In April 2017 I was a 2nd. Place WINNER in the Pop Ninja Shortfest Film Festival in New Orleans.
I was also contacted by the chairman and CEO of a gaming corporation in the US who also produces independent films. I was offered regular work and invited to collaborate with two other screenwriters in developing new movie scripts.
I have completed eight full feature screenplays and three 'shorts' to date.
I’ve been featured several times on ProSeries Alumni as a screenwriter to watch!
