Born in Germany, Cheyenne has decided to return to the place where he feels most at home, the "Valley of Rabbi", (Trentino, North Italy) where she is shepherd. During the summer she moves her flocks of sheep from one pasture to another "for the care and maintenance of the landscape". The construction of fences, treating diseases of sheep, the transhumance through the valley, the loneliness on the pasture and the meetings with groups of tourists, characterize the summer of Cheyenne. Michele Trentini is filmmaker and ethnographer. He graduated in sociology at the University of Dresden (Germany) and Trento (Italy). He conducts research using ethnographic and visual anthropological methods and has directed several documentaries including “Furriadroxus” (ISRE 2005), prize for the best documentary at the festival Arcipelago in Rom 2006, “Tre carnevali e mezzo” (MUCGT 2007, “Costantino Nigra - Prize in Visual Anthropology” 2007) and “Piccola terra” (2012, Best Documentary at Cinemambiente Torino 2012).
