Shel, Play Something

We were at a senior center producing a classical musical concert. Afterwards, I spoke to the residents, who were impressed with the piano concerto that had been showcased. One resident who stood out was a man by the name of Shelley Dobbins. After talking at length, he told me that he had written the lyrics for the song Non Dimenticar, a 1953 best-selling record by Nat "King" Cole. I knew right then that I wanted to document this man's experiences while writing this iconic song.
