Director Statement

My fathers village is a story about a girl on a quest for the truth. She clings to a past and a ghost she doesn’t know. When she arrives at her father’s village the hostility she faces confuses her until she learns the truth about him. She must make a choice and that is to bury the hero-worshipping memories she has of her father and love him for being her father. I was inspired to write this because I feel every daughter needs to let go of the perfect or even imperfect image they have of their father and pave their own way in this world. Your destiny is yours to carve. Hero or not, your father is just a man...no more, no less...love him anyway.
