Rio Ponce is an American video artist who plays with extensive observation, time, intimacy, and satire to focus on simple moments and relay stories of visual poetics. A subtext of connectedness, or a lack thereof, is conveyed through a no-frill directness and a certain amount of poignancy. She endeavors to use the body to create a dialogue of sorts, a visual anecdote, or merely as a reminder to continue to look.
