It's Been A Long Time
Today‘s men are forced to represent an image that is caught between showing off untouchable masculinity, intellectual overtaxing and physical insecurities. The multitude of contradictory expectations also changes the emotional foundation of relationships - when social and cultural convictions collide with feelings and lust. „It‘s been a long time“ wants to illustrate such an interpersonal story without valuing it. We want to give an insight in which the pictures remain ambivalent. We want to sketch out a conflict between two lovers, who fight each other on different frequencies.

For the first time at the age of 18, Esteban started using his father’s camera and interpreted the world with his own images. He started his creative career as a photographer with a focus on people.
Later, he discovered the medium of film and this became his new found passion.
It was after graduating from school when he spent a year in Paris shooting moving images for photographers and magazines. Driven by his energy for making films on his own he started his career as a director.
Soon he won the worldwide Braun campaign as the youngest director ever. It was his entrycard into the advertising world, in which he met famous Danish director Jan Gleie through a common job. Recognizing his directing talent, Jan invited him to come to Copenhagen to develop and strengthen his visual language and to establish internationally.
The Scandinavian influence and experience has shaped his work dramatically. The emotional, real and sensible approach on films inspired his work until now. Clients like Facebook, Bang&Olufsen or Ebay trusted his sensibility for emotional and real moments. A visual language, which is driven by his heart and senses rather than the wish for technical perfection.
Today, Esteban lives in Berlin.
