Writer Biography

I’m a self-taught writer from Los Angeles, CA. I've had an interest in writing since I was in 4th Grade.
At the time, I mostly wrote fiction and short stories.

On February 22nd 2005, I launched my own website using freewebs.com

Between February and August 2006, I developed Hounddogg Studio with the goal of eventually making it into a production company. In November 2006, I joined YouTube and started my own channel where I post slideshows and trailers for my projects.

In the Fall of 2008, I worked with my Dad as an assistant in the student enrichment program at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The enrichment program specialized in teaching Music, Math and English. While I was there, I wrote a chapter book for the school's 3rd grade class which helped to improve their reading and comprehension skills.

In 2010, during an afterschool tutoring program at the William U. Pearson Community center, I worked on a multiple choice test on the history of the internet. It was a big hit with the students, who learned about the development of the internet. Prior to that, the students participated in a quiz on the Academy Awards. Included in this quiz, were questions involving the nominees of that year as well as trivia.

I also started a blog called Pen & Paper, that same year on January 4th. Also in 2010 at Comic Con in San Diego, I met Emmy award winning writer, Earl Kress whose credits include many popular animated films and television series by Disney, Warner Bros and more.

For Black history month in 2011, I wrote a twenty question quiz on Rodeo star, Bill Pickett for the Horses, Horses, Horses training program.

Other famous names in film and television I have met in recent years are: Antonio Fargas (Starsky & Hutch, Everybody hates Chris), Phil Morris (Moesha, The Jamie Foxx show & Smallville),
Erika Alexander (Living Single, The Cosby Show & Last Man Standing), Paul Dini (Superman the animated series, Justice League Unlimited, etc…), and Bruce Timm (Tiny Toon Adventures, Justice League Unlimited & others), just to name a few.

In 2012, I came in 8th place among the top ten in the pitch/treatment category for the All-star screenwriting competition, my entry was a pitch for an animated film. For the 2013 Fresh Voices Pitch contest, my animated television series pitch made 4th place on the top ten list. I entered that same pitch in the Beverly Hills screenplay contest. Out of the hundreds of entries submitted for their 2013 competition, I was a first place winner in the concept/treatment category.

In November 2014, my story, The Life You Changed was published on Petsmart charities website which was online for three months. My movie pitch entry for the 2014 Beverly Hills screenplay contest came in third for the concept/treatment category. On May 21st 2016, after doing extensive research on my family’s ancestry, I learned that my 4th cousin is the legendary award winning music artist known as Prince.

I've wanted to write for television and film for the longest and my interest grew during Junior High School. My main goals are to have my scripts produced and other work published.
