Director Biography - Lew Holder

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, I have been making videos as long as I can remember. This passion followed me as I attended The Ohio State University and majored in Film Studies and minored in Video Arts.

I worked in different jobs and areas of video production in my time at Ohio State as well as in the film/TV industry in New York City and Cincinnati.

Making your short film frequently means wearing many different hats, and I love handling all aspects of the production from idea to delivery of the final piece.

Director Statement

Completely absent of dialogue, my goal was to tell the story of "Going Through" purely through the visuals and amazing original score of composer Lucas Anderson.

I wanted to use the film form, be it composition, lighting, color, or on-screen VFX, to tell this story.
