Director Statement

This started as a 3 minute segment to capture Matty's magic moment on the ice. It grew to 30 minute documentary taking us on a journey, interviewing friends, family, teachers and even leading physicians at Mass General Hospital. We wanted to not to just show his goal but give it context. His mother said it best. "Even though he’s sick, even though he’s got some learning disabilities,Matty just wants to be like everybody else.” We learned that he is not... he is simply better than all of us!
