Pandora's Bottle
This is a short film from Ireland, from first time Director John Pepper. The film explores how attitudes towards alcohol use, move down through the generations of a family in Dublin. The prevalence of alcohol related problems in Ireland is well known, yet its normalization in Irish society is never questioned. This film sets out to ponder why this is the case and how alcohol is used as a cure all for emotional stress, in our society today. Pandora's bottle, once opened, can it ever really be shut....
